Marc Vedo August Update!
It's easy to see how 2010 has already been a thriving year for Marc Vedo! Arguably Portugal’s most exported international DJ, his diary in recent times has seen him appear at many of the world’s leading venues such as Avalon in US, The Guverment in Canada and Ministry of Sound in London, whilst being a regular feature for many of the world’s best festivals, which includes the planets most iconic party Glastonbury. Over the years his travels have led to him captivating crowds in countries as far afield as Kenya, Bosnia, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Hungary and Singapore.
As a producer, Marc has found similar success with his music counting a wide reach of support for his productions over the past 24 months. From original material to remixes his music has picked up fans in the likes of Tiësto, Erick Morillo and Roger Sanchez, whilst radio support has included Radio 1 veterans Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Annie Nightingale.
Many of his recent productions, such as ‘Only Love’, ‘Get it Out’, ‘String Circus’ and Liquid Spirit’ with vocalist Tricia Kelshall from Way Out West fame, have found support among luminaries such as James Zabiela, Matt Darey and Deep Dish. Whilst his forthcoming release on Koolwaters Digital called ‘Ragga Blip’ is a brilliant rework of the classic ‘On a Ragga Tip’ by SL2 and has already been causing a stir with the scenes key tastemakers. Following this will be his forth collaboration to-date with iconic figure Boy George, titled called ‘Sunshine into my Life’ and will feature the sumptuous vocals of Basement Jaxx lead vocalist Charleene Hector.
With his own dance brand Koolwaters exploding globally and the thriving growth of its recording imprint, it may come as little surprise then that the last KW CD compilation with Kid Massive proved a winning album package, selling huge volumes worldwide and receiving great media acclaim. The brands latest CD project, co-created with one of Asia’s biggest clubbing brands, is out now and so far has been well received. To promote this compilation, Marc embarked on a gruelling tour covering various Asian destinations that included Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia before returning to Europe. The CD compilation features tracks from heavyweight house performers such as Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Harry Choo Choo Romero plus many more world-class artists.
Looking ahead he’s several new remixes and solo records lined up with major labels, as well as a packed diary until end of 2010 which will see nationwide return tours of China, Russia, Canada and Brazil in the next few months alone. The year will also see another Koolwaters compilation towards the end of this year, as the brand steps into its 10th year circling the global staging parties and festivals.
