In January 2025 the Bristol Comedy Festival returned with a bang, asking the audience what’s next for comedy, showcasing bold new voices, works-in-progress fresh from Edinburgh Fringe and a strong mix of established and emerging talent. Taking place in multiple venues across the city, in partnership with the Bristol Business Improvement District (BID), the festival aimed to bring ‘acts and audiences together in venues they might not have worked in or visited before’.
Having had a taste of some of the brilliant acts on the bill in Edinburgh last summer, we jumped at the chance to support comedy in our own backyard. We printed and distributed a wide range of promotional materials for the festival, including programmes, flyers, stands, venue boards, street posters, and billboards across the city.
As the arts continue to suffer from funding cuts and the cost of living crisis, the contribution of events like Bristol Comedy Festival to the community cannot be overstated. From insanely affordable ticket prices to raising money for TAP for Bristol, the festival supports the comedy scene through collaboration, accessibility, and long-term investment in the future of live performance.
