Bristol

Bristol is the largest city in the South West and one of the ten ‘Core Cities' in Great Britain. With a population of over 450,000 and two universities hosting over 50,000 students between them, Bristol is small enough to get around on foot, but big enough to boast a very vibrant creative and cultural community. Named as one of the coolest cities in the world by National Geographic and voted the best place to live in the 2017 Sunday Times guide, Bristol is a key regional media hub for BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and home to over 200 music, art and cultural venues, all putting on numerous events and shows every week - making Bristol a very lively and an exciting city to live in.

Out of Hand has been based in Bristol since its inception in the mid 90's and is embedded in the arts, music and cultural industry within the city. Working with individuals, promoters and venues on a daily basis, we supply promotional services to help ensure their events are a success. The outdoor poster scheme has been set up to cater for the overwhelming demand from the arts, music and cultural community within the city for cost effective authorised outdoor space to promote their events within the city. We offer a viable alternative to flyposting with sites in popular high footfall areas in the city centre and the surrounding area.

  • Over 60 locations throughout the city centre
  • Display poster sizes from 60”x40” to 96 sheets
  • Two week display periods
  • Rates from £12.50 per week
  • We support the grassroots promoters / community groups / charities with free space on selected sites for A3 posters
  • All sites have been carefully selected to ensure they reach the right target audience and are managed and maintained exclusively by Out of Hand.

Active site management includes regular site checks during the fortnightly display period and a regular maintenance schedule including removing any flyposting or graffiti within a set radius of each site – thus contributing to the local community and helping reduce anti social behaviour.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Bookings for 2020 open early March 2020

Since 2014, we have worked in partnership with The City of Edinburgh Council and operate the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Outdoor Advertising scheme. The Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and we create over 1,000 temporary advertising sites across the city centre during July / August. We have transformed the scheme into a transparent and fair marketing channel that is accessible to all Fringe participants, regardless of budget size. We design, build, maintain and remove all structures within agreed timescales. A key element of the scheme is removing flyposting, stickers and graffiti near all our advertising sites – thousands of items are removed, resulting in a marked reduction in flyposting year on year and a vastly improved appearance in Edinburgh city centre. It is estimated we save the council in excess of £100,000 in annual street cleaning costs though our involvement in operating the scheme.

Festivals

In partnership with selected festival promoters, we provide on-site outdoor poster advertising services to enable music fans to see up and coming events, as well as artist music releases and brand messages. This partnership offers promoters an additional revenue stream as well as covering unsightly perimeter / security fences within the festival site.

We are always looking for new festival promoters to work with, if you'd like to discuss your requirements and find out what our scheme can offer, please contact us.
