The Watershed is Bristol’s leading indie arts cinema, and with a calendar jam-packed full of events, we are always delighted to support their marketing efforts for upcoming exhibitions and film screenings, such as Behind the Curtain: The Films of David Lynch.

For this particular gem, the Watershed commemorated legendary cult filmmaker David Lynch (1946-2025), who has left an indelible mark on cinema with his visionary approach.

In the run up, The Watershed commented:
“On weekend afternoons throughout April, we'll be remembering the indelible mark on cinema left by the late great visionary David Lynch with a season of his feature films.” - Watershed.”

For a whole month, The Watershed screened nine of Lynch's most renowned films on rotation, offering audiences the chance to immerse themselves in his storytelling and signature unsettling atmosphere. From his 1997 debut feature, Eraserhead to the neo-noir mystery of Mulholland Drive, this tribute was a must-see for both devoted fans and newcomers looking to experience Lynch's unique work.

As part of their marketing strategy, we took a hands-on approach to ensure maximum visibility. Our team carried out a targeted indoor poster distribution campaign and complemented it with outdoor advertising. Watershed opted for a high volume of 4-sheet posters, an ideal choice for maximising their reach whilst still being eye-catching.

Whether you're revisiting old favourites or discovering his films for the first time, Watershed's tribute is a fitting way to honour a director whose artistic legacy will endure for generations.
