Momentum is already building: Scottish Rugby recently confirmed that the Scotland v England game on 18 April broke the record for the largest crowd at a standalone women’s sporting event in Scotland. Captain Rachel Malcolm called it “an incredibly proud moment” - and a responsibility to inspire the next generation and ensure these milestones become the norm, not the exception.

Meanwhile, in the sleepy outskirts of south Bristol, Long Ashton FC celebrate the remarkable growth of their Junior Women’s programme. Launched in 2023, the club now welcomes over 100 players each week - a testament to the lasting impact of the England Lionesses and proof that young people are just as motivated as ever - they just need access to positive outlets.
