World AIDS Day is on the 1st of December and in order to spread awareness of HIV and ensure the correct information is out there, we supported local charity, Brigstowe in creating a large outdoor campaign.
Brigstowe is a non-profit organisation which supports anyone living with or affected by HIV in Bristol and the surrounding areas. They offer a range of services from peer support groups to individual advice.
This campaign comes in time for World AIDS Day on December the 1st and features 6 individuals from Bristol who are living with HIV. HIV medication has come a long way but the general mindset of the virus largely remains outdated. This campaign highlights that with medication, HIV cannot be passed on and those with it can live ordinary lives.

To shout the message, Brigstowe designed a range of outdoor billboards with varying messages for us to install around Bristol.
To increase their visual impact, we went for a couple of billboard options including a backlit board and a full site takeover.
A full site takeover allows your message to have all of the attention, making it extremely effective. Pictures of this site can be seen on our Outdoor Instagram
We are very happy to have been able to execute this campaign for Brigstowe and are delighted to see the coverage it is getting.
Aled, The Community Engagement Manager at Brigstowe, had this to say about the campaign and our work with them.
“Working with Out of Hand again this year for our annual billboard campaign has been a total joy and would recommend them to everyone. We have been overwhelmed with the response to this campaign. Being able to raise awareness that people living with HIV on medication cannot pass it on and can live long and healthy lives is a huge difference to campaigns of the past. HIV has advanced at an incredible pace over the past 40+ years so we hope that these billboards can inform society so they can catch up with the science.”
